I never realized that the Rocket Man in the Wonder World show was called Colonel Keds. Thanks for sharing Wayne!

Thanks for catching that - I intended to put it in the text to make it searchable and then forgot.

Did the winner of the Coca-cola SEE-THE-FAIR SWEEPSTAKES take 25 friends to NY, or take the $25,000 in cash? I wonder...

United States Steel - " Life is a Fair..."

I recognize all but the tall structure with the crane next to it in the center. What is that?

I have a collection of those, and have a big sheet that they gave away to mount them on (pictures of many pavilions under the bottle caps).

But I didn't realize that they had a contest with prizes if you got one showing the Coca-Cola Pavilion.

Otis

Escal-aire and Trav-L-Aire were Otis trademarks for their escalator line and elevator line, respectively.

The Escal-aire trademark was filed in 1962.

But the Trav-L-Aire trademark wasn't filed until 1982. Hmmm... our time traveler at work again? :D [maybe they renewed it in 1982]

It appears to be scaffolding rather than a building. You can get a sight angle relative to GM from the lower left picture, but what in that direction would need such tall scaffolding? The Better Living Center?

Anyone have a better idea?

By the way, this web site

http://auto.howstuffworks.com/1961-1964-cadillac5.htm

says fuel economy was about 10 mpg - so if you wanted to drive your new Caddy from California to NY and back, you would have to spend some of that $5000 cash.

I really wonder if there is any record of the winner?
