Am I missing something here? That pigeon on her hat has awfully furry legs, and looks like a fake hawk or similar raptor perched oddly on her hat.

OK, now I am not so sure.  I think Randy's thoughts are interesting because he has the other photos with pigeons on passengers.  I initially thought it was some sort of decorative something-or-other on the hat when I first looked, but Randy's comment had me look again.  Maybe it's just a burred part of the photo as the pigeon was landing.  The facial expressions on those two ladies are priceless.

Check out this great source of pictures of these Electriquettes with the pigeons in 1915.  Some show the Electriquettes and people almost completely covered in pigeons!

Good point, guys. I guess if that bird was really a hawk, or even a likeness, there wouldn't be a pigeon anywhere near the ladies.
