Some of the Nicest Color Photographs I Have Seen 1940

Cool pics. I was hoping to find my grandparents in one of the shots, but no such luck. The only thing I remember them saying about that fair was that they saw a demonstration of television there.

I like the transparent Pontiac. Now at auto shows, makers just project images onto a white car. A lot more work and money went into a clear plastic one.

Something else that caught my eye was the GM Futurama model designed by Norman Bel Geddes. President Eisenhower is credited with bringing highways to the US, after seeing the German roads during WWII. But based on the model, it would appear Bel Geddes was already on to it in 1939.
