That make a long time I'm intrigued by this dedicace on a 1893 expo book...

If anyone has an idea ?

For the first name, it's Marcella Sendwick I think... but for the last signature ? I'm asked me if it's someone known of not ?

That's a tough one.

Chas. E. is fairly easy.

(Chas. is abbreviation for Charles)

But the last name...

Irxon

Iricon

Irixon

take your pick :)

I'm guessing it's Dixon.

Edit: unfortunately, Dixon is a common name, and an initial search does not turn up any association with the Columbian exposition.

Thanks a lot guys for your help and ideas !

It's great to hear that this book was one of Marcella Sembrich...

I will try to write to the association to know more about Mr. Charles E. Dixon.
