  1. Hi all - need help in identifying what this thing is. I found it several years ago and over the holidays have been working on an inventory of my WF mini-museum. I think it is time to get some expert help. The guesses have ranged from an ashtray missing pieces, a way to paint fingernails, or candle holder. All seem just wrong! It is missing some medallions or coins so it is really tacky in a mid-century way. Have searched several times for it but no luck. It is an odd duck. Hope you all had a fabulous holiday!!
  2. Collectible Question

Hello, I am new to the site and look forward to learning more. I have some 1939 World's Fair items that I want to sell, and I am hoping I can receive some suggestions for the best way to go about it. Included is a Uniform from the fair - which I have not see anywhere else, so I am having trouble figuring out the pricing. I look forward to your thoughts. Best - Wendy
  3. Hello! New the the forum because I've been searching all over for information on a skirt i bought but nothing has turned up. It is a handmade circle skirt made from fabric in shades of blue with white details. The border of the fabric has a repeating pattern of the Space Needle, The Pacific Science Center arches, and the Unisphere. Very very pretty but I just can't seem to track down any information about the fabric that was used. It is NOT the "Come to the World's Fair" fabric that is in greens and oranges. Thanks!!
  4. This item came up at auction and started a discussion on the Fire Memorabilia Collector's page on Facebook. Some believe that this reproduction, and others like it, were manufactured on Long Island for use at, or related to, a "World's Fair" some time between the 1950's and 1970's. I know they are not from the 1939 or 1964 New York fairs. Does anyone have any ideas??
