Instead of Belgian Waffles...

You left coasters are so lucky. Scottsdale and Solvang are just minutes away, no passport or strip search needed.

Bill: Compare and contrast the '62 vs. '64 trashcans, please!

Here you go guys. I've posted these before, but since we might do some comparisons to 1962, why not show them again here?

How about some details...

To quote the Chevy truck commercials, these things are "Professional Grade"!

They are made of 3/16" or 1/8" steel. Serious steel.

To stiffen the top edge, the top is folded back and welded. The whole curve is welded and ground smooth. The sides and back are all one piece, cut bent and welded. It's no wonder that Canobie says that they are the best trash cans they've ever had.

And yes... shooting detailed photos of a garbage can at an amusement park WAS a proud moment for me and my daughter-in-law, who helped me take a set of measurements as well!

I was in Solvang, a small town with a distinct Danish orientation, today and had some appleskivers. Ever since I first saw this photo I wanted to try one and today was the day. They were good! A round pastry with a raspberry sauce. I bet they were popular at the 1962 fair.
