Hi all,

My new World's Fair "mystery project" is trying to figure out all the artists and their piece's titles at the exhibition "American Painting Now" in the U.S. Pavilion. If someone can can figure out what the piece's names are we may be able to find their locations without a sitch. Now here's what I've found out so far.

*the exhibition was gathered together by Alan Soloman

*23 artists exhibited their work in the exhibition

and here's my list so far:

American Painting Now Exhibition

Set of Six Self Portraits - Andy Warhol San Francisco Museum of Modern Art

Study For Expo 67 - Roy Lichtenstein

Robert Indiana

Ellsworth Kelley

Robert Rauschenberg

Firepole - James Rosenquist

Map 1967 - Jasper Johns Danziger Projects Gallery

Giant Soft Fan - Claes Oldenburg The Museum of Modern Art (NYC)

Jim Dine

Voice of Fire - Barnett Newman National Gallery of Canada

Edward Avedisian

Friedel Dzubas

Kenneth Noland

Larry Zox

The next nine artists are unidentified

This: http://www.worldcat....8/oclc/00953691 book may hold some answers. It seems as though the exhibits were shown in '68 in Boston. And this book is a catalogue for the Boston exhibition

Perhaps a PTU'er near Boston could see if it's in a local library?

And it may be the case that Francis Frost was one of the missing nine: http://www.francisfr...oavedisian.html (although as there have been at least 2 painters caleld Francis Frost that might not be that helpful)
