The 1976 brochure is clear evidence that Ile Notre Dame was closed by 1976 (as we determined in previous posts). Man and His World had shrunk by half during that Olympic summer. That was the last time the mini rail still operated on Ile Notre Dame, however.

I do remember how vibrant Montreal was in 1976, however. Ile Ste. Helene was exciting and the city was an international festival. The Olympic Stadium was unfinished, of course, but it was still a wonderful summer. As I think back, it is amazing to me that I actually got to see some of the events at the Montreal Olympic Summer Games.

I posted these elsewhere, but my parents took my brother and me to Man and His World in 1968. Here are the four pictures I have from then:
