I think you got it, Wayne. I doubt if the local repeaters, like Hoodlock for instance, went thru Bell on every visit.

I did not go through the ride portion of the Bell System’s pavilion often, a few times was enough for me. However, every time I was in the area I did enjoy the exhibits below. As told before, I regularly enjoyed running through the sound damping walkways at the entrance to the lower exhibit area. Upon entering I would run screaming as loud as I could, the whole time the walls absorbed my screams so I could not hear myself, the only sense of the scream was in the vibrations running through my body.

There were lots of hands on exhibits we loved to toy with…

I just added two pages of construction photos, including aerial views, to my Bell System pages. You can start the tour at http://www.worldsfai...bell-system.htm

The Bell System was one of my favorite pavilions, both for design and the show, so it was fun to take a look at how it was constructed. I hope you'll enjoy them!

Did you know that the Pepsi pavilion was originally going to be a recreation of the Golden Horseshoe Saloon from Disneyland?

Lots of interesting facts await in two early World's Fair News issues from 1961.
