Worlds Fair Days Radio Station - WJRZ

Recommended Posts

Driving to my Fair job (after I got a car, a '61 Volvo, later a '58 Saab, to replace my earlier motorcycle commuting vehicle), I used to listen to the NYC country music station, WJRZ. I still remember the jingle. Here, I'll sing it for you:

"WJRZ

Radio 97"

970 AM, I believe. Used to hear stuff like Roger Miller's "King of the Road".

"Two hours pushing broom

Buys a six by eight four bit room..."
