Very nice!! What I wouldn't give to see the entire interior of that phone booth, with map.

Still, the 10-button panel is clearly visible. Did Bell ever use the flush SS panel construction with dials?

We had the best telephone system in the world when Ma Bell was around. After it was broken apart, we got higher rates, poor service, Worldcom and you can't get an operator to save your life. I miss the Bell System.

Reliability and excellent quality no doubt but it wasn't until AT&T's Bell companies were "divested" that telephonic innovation flourished. AT&T as a monopoly was pretty slow to introduce new products. Remember when the "Princess" phone was a big deal? It took a long time to get those push-button phones from the AT&T Pavilion into your house. It's a tradeoff.

I've had a chance to listen to the narration of the 1965 Bell Pavilion ride on Ray's CD, and I have to admit I'm still confused with regard to the matter of who's doing the narration. The publicity says Hal Holbrook, but the voice I keep hearing sounds like David Wayne.
