I bet this was a wonderful day for this family seen at the Fair in 1965

I don't think they just came from church. People just used to dress more formally when they would go out to something like a trip to the World's Fair. It was a big deal. And you got dressed for special events.

I wonder if adults in 1965 looked at pictures of the 1939 fair or the St Louis fair and thought how casually everyone dressed versus those days.

Interesting.  The family with the young girl and boy appear to be comfortably dressed.  No heavy jackets or coats.  But when one scans to the right, that group of adults, especially the women,  look as if they’re dressed for a polar vortex.

I like the boy’s sweater but that’s because I had one much like it at the time.  Now I realize I could wear it for ugly sweater day.

Any idea what the red line that is painted on the walkway is for?  Maybe a guide for vehicles?
