I preferred the original paint scheme

1969-interpol.jpg

A view from 1969 - Interpol (formerly Canadian Pulp & Paper) & Man and Weapons (Steel in 1967). The building looked much better when it was painted to resemble a forest! Restored 126 format slide.

See, this is one of those pavilion reincarnations that just doesn't work.,  The green stylized forest of Pulp and Paper and the huge sculpture were wonderfully creative.  This version is completely without nuance.

I absolutely agree. I guess they did the best they could with a limited budget. That sculpture, by the way, seems not to have a name.

I've always thought it had something to do with paper itself.  It looks like a huge roll of unwound paper.
