I didn't see this posted yet.  The city is getting 16 million bucks to restore/stablize the NYSP. Finally,  Queens is getting some R-E-S-P-E-C-T!

No, it's apparently a misleading article. The money is for electrical and other work throughout the whole park. No specific mention of anything for the NYSP. Very frustrating.

I disagee. It specifcally mentions the NYSP, as well as other parts of the park:

The $16,468,030 grant was provided by the Federal Emergency Management Agency to the New York Office of Management and Budget and will be used for repairs at the pavilion as well other storm-damaged areas of the park.

Very iffy sounding as to how much of the money will be spent on NYSP - only thing mentioned I see that might be part of it is the "vaults." Need to see details. If NYSP is rewired, that will be great, but this article doesn't specifically say. All the other things mentioned could easily eat up the great majority of funds.
