waynebretl Report post Posted September 14, 2018 At 1:10 (and some other times) you can see at feature at the top that is obviously not a land form, and I thought might be an aircraft hazard beacon; but I cannot find a night photo of the Unisphere with a beacon at the top. Any idea of what it is? A temporary anchor point for a crane or ropes during construction/maintenance?
Craig Bavaro Report post Posted September 15, 2018 It's a aircraft hazard beacon. There is also another one at the top of the New York State Pavilion towers.

Jim Report post Posted September 15, 2018 That's a very cool film. The park looks a good deal better than when I last saw it. There is only one thing wrong with this film (well, maybe two because I didn't like the music). The Unisphere is missing something. It needs a wonderful fair surronding it. speedwell Report post Posted September 15, 2018 Never realized there was an aircraft warning light on the Unisphere, but it makes sense. I know Disney very carefully kept the castle at Disney World to 199 ft tall so they would not need one.
