Canon shutters 80-year history of film cameras

Recommended Posts

As a proud Canon AE-1 owner I am sorry to hear this, but then again I haven't shot film in years so I understand the need for this. But it's still sad.

The sad thing is we may even see the disappearance of DSLR cameras in the next ten years.

Yup, going to be hard to get some good distance shots with just phones.

I don't know- I don't see DSLR's going away any time soon.

I think the trend is towards mirrorless which, technically, is not a SLR.  Nikon and Canon are supposed to introduce models to compete with Sony, Fujifilm, etc. at Photokina this year.
