Got room on your bookshelf?

Recommended Posts

Coming late this year, just in time for the Christmas holidays: "The 1939-1940 New York World’s Fair: The World of Tomorrow." Now all I need to do is write it. :)

Sounds good!

Everyone has to save room for my book too...."The Giant Tire: From New York World's Fair to Detroit's Iconic Landmark"

I've collected all sorts of great information and photos (not just from the Fair). Been chasing down lots of different leads. I even spoke to the 90 year old man responsible for getting the toy made, and a very nice lady that worked at the exhibit in 1965!

That's actually her in the information booth in the photo Randy posted!

I hope to have it out by mid Summer.

Any true 1939-40 fans up for some proofreading and fact checking? I'm about ready to start sending out the first draft to folks that can help me find any goofs, such as facts, spelling, etc. Trey has already volunteered. Who's next?

I would consider it a privilege to assist, Bill.   I've loved just about everything about the 1939-40 NYWF since I was a kid.  My masters thesis was devoted the the Big Fair.

Thanks, Jim. I will aim to send some verbiage out Sunday or Monday!

Bill,

Of course, anything you need - images or looking over text...
