Sinclair Dino Back in Thanksgiving Parade

Recommended Posts

The iconic roller coaster profile of what used to be Sinclair's green brontosaurus but is now a green apatosaurus was back in the balloon lineup of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade this, its 90th, year. Actually it returned in the 2015 parade, having been absent since 1976, but I was not aware. Sorry if this is old news.

I was happy to see the dino signage on my road trips to the Great Basin ten years back. Sinclair has no presence here in Miami. Maybe they're expanding their range.

For those not hip, the Sinclair dino was a visible roadside icon at the post-Jurrasic 64-65 NYWF.

I remember the Sinclair  dino  signs in  Upstate New York fifty plus years ago.

Nice!

Understand there was a street collapse up there the other day. Must be from the massive weight of those ‘saurs.

Yeah, but I'll bet they didn't have one of *these* !!

This appeared in the 1964 Macy's Thanksgiving parade.
