Your Picture has just been taken

Recommended Posts

Mail-in form and envelope from Movie Shots company candid photo service that operated at the Fair. 1940 version, with Trylon/Perisphere graphic on stub. The form states that they had multiple photographers, so you should send in for all of them to get your picture in front of a variety of buildings. Twenty-five cents plus 3 cent stamp each ($4.22 + $0.47 today).

Does anyone else recall such candid street photographers on large city streets? I have a photo from one of these operators, of my grandmother and me as a child, taken in downtown Chicago in the early/mid 1950's.  I wonder when they finally went out of business.
