Anyone hungry?

What was so special about these waffles? They said that there were amazing at the Seattle Worlds Fair too.

They were very light and fluffy compared to other waffles, including the ones in Seattle. That made them more of snack food to eat with your hands then a meal that benefited from a knife and fork.

They were huge in size (in 1964 terms) and covered with strawberries and whipped cream. Something new, different and decadent. Everybody had to try one.

Kind of like when Burger King Whoppers were actually  whopping big (5 or 6 inches across). Those have been super-downsized over the last 40 years.
