Bill Cotter Report post Posted February 19, 2013 Here are two above average views of the Jaycopter from July 1964. I think that's the first view looking out like that that I've seen.
Randy Treadway Report post Posted February 19, 2013 Ah yes, the original red Jaycopter, in it's last days... by September the new bigger yellow Jaycopter was installed. As for the only inside view, true, but check out your Set 184, pic #24... Jaycopter goes almost nose-to-nose with the monorail in a "near miss"-- LOL In your cockpit view, see if you can zoom in by the Music Hall and spot the pen with that big oxen that the guy rode all the way from Texas. It arrived the first week of July.
Bill Cotter Report post Posted February 19, 2013 Nope, can't spot the ox pen.
Doug Seed Report post Posted February 19, 2013 Those are great shots, Bill! I wonder if they had to adjust the counterweight on a slow day when there might only be a couple of customers riding inside, rather than a full load of passengers? What are those leaning panels (center right) just under the brown, red and gold flags?
Bill Cotter Report post Posted February 19, 2013 Those are actually flagpoles slanted out - there's a wihite wall behind them, and the poles make it look like slanted panels. The flags are just colored panels, no designs or words.
