I noticed their web site History.com mentions an item from the 1964 Worlds Fair was restored on the American Restoration show. Sounds like something those on this forum would be interested in seeing. The show is supposed to air tonight, 1/9/2013 at 10:00 PM ET. The History Channel.
Check out The History channel tonight, 1/9/2013, @ 10 PM ET.

Fantastic job, IMO!
The engine is an Onan air-cooled generator engine. Had no idea.

It just ended. It looks like they did a nice job on it. Too bad they didn't "honk" the horn though. Thanks to Big Mike for getting this treasure restored!!

Elizabeth, do you know of any actual events planned for 2014 or are you just being hopeful? I have heard of nothing and it is just a year away. But nothing was done for the 50th of the 1939 fair either beyond an exhibition at the Queens Museum which has long since disavowed any obligation or interest in preserving the record of or artifacts from either fair held on that very site.

Just saw this episode and screamed like a little girl.
No matter what is planned, I am guessing many are going to be in Flushing Meadows next April... A unique opportunity to meet the others consumed with all things NYWF64/65
