How do people pick their prices?

This action on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/350542807712?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 is for a record from the House of Good Taste. The seller is asking $34.95 for it.

Well, look at the picture. It was priced at $1.99 at one time, then looks like it was dropped to 49 cents.

How, then, could they possibly think $34.95 was a reasonable price to ask for?

Somehow I doubt very much that there's a big demand for House of Good Taste records. Even if there was, you think they might have removed the old prices...

Considering most people don't even have turntables these days, I think we can be sure there isn't a big demand for House of Good Taste LPs.
