Book signing - Rego Park, Queens - June 16

It looks like I'll be signing copies of the first 1964-1965 NYWF book at a Costco in Rego Park on June 16th. If anyone is in the area I hope you can stop by and say hello. Rich Post and I are trying to put together a walk through the park or some such event after the signing. I'll post more here as things get confirmed.

Regards

Bill

Hi Bill,

Darn! I can't make that day :( My copy of the book I helped you with (1939) is already signed (thanks!), but I would like to meet you after so many years of talking in here. The only west coaster I have had the pleasure and privilege of meeting is our resident Writer Trey. I was looking at the '39 book the other day - I forgot about the lovely advert postcard you sent me! :)

Best wishes,

Eric

Here's the address for next Saturday:

Rego Park Center, 61-35 Junction Blvd, Rego Park, NY 11374, Rego Park

This is a Costco. You don't need to be a member to attend. Just tell them at the door that this was approved by Debbie in the office and that should do the trick. The event is 1-3.

Afterwards, weather permitting, we're off to see the newly re-opened Carousel in the Park, then a brief stroll down memory lane.

I hope some of you can make it! No pressure to buy a book - I know I'm not! - but if you have the time to stop and say hi there will be a few of us NYWF fans there.

Yell if any questions.

Bill

This event is canceled due to a problem of some kind at the store. I just got a call from the publisher and don't know the details.

Bill is not a happy camper just now, having flown 2500 miles to do this...

Bill needs a treat at the Ice King of Corona. Who's buying?

More like a pitcher at the Schaefer Pavilion.

Was this trip on your dime? If so, I'd be livid.

Yes, my dime. We are discussing that. Simply amazing to me.

Rich Post and I are looking to do a mini-meet we can control for a future time. The food will NOT be from Costco.

Wow. Sorry to hear that, Bill. I would also be extremely unhappy.

At least I got to see my family back here, and yesterday I had a very nice hike around one of my old Boy Scout camps, so I'm focusing on the positive side for now.

On Tuesday, though, when I get home, the folks at Costco are going to hear from me.

Thanks, all, for the kind words!

That sounds terrible, Bill. Chin up.

Alpine or Pouch?
