Hi All,

New to this so not really sure of the etiquette. My Dad (who is 81) has a Greyhound Escorter that he would like to find more information about. Mostly, the value of it. It is in good condition. The engine is like new since it was removed from the escorter and stored for the past 35 years. He'd really like to sell it but we can't really find another one anywhere that is for sale.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Awesome! We need pictures!
There was another member here that had one, but we haven't heard from him in a few years.
His saga is somewhere in the archives.
Oh, did I mention, we need pictures? :)

My Dad is having a house sale this weekend so I'll try to get over there to take a couple pictures and post them sometime soon. I'm in NJ so if anyone is interested in it, please let me know.

A few pics of the Escorter. It's a little weathered and the fiberglass is somewhat pitted. I've also included a couple pics of the engine which was removed a long time ago so that none of us drove it into the family pool by accident. It was running well at the time it was removed.

I'd have no place to store it but it sure would be a head-turner if it could be driven around town. I hope it finds a new owner and some TLC.

Wow, that Escorter is in remarkably good shape after almost 50 years! The decals and logos look terrific.
Of course that hose will need replacing on the engine- easy enough it would seem. And the seat cushions- both driver and passenger- are not original.

I'd never noticed those 'No Step' decals before, but they look original.

Do you see a box near the engine compartment with the word Dukane on it? That would be the musical horn. An ingenuous mechanical device which our board members reverse-engineered a few years ago. If it's there but you can't get it to work, we've got a couple of people here who know how to fix it- and have fixed at least two of them to date.

Very nice Honeil!!

BTW - Do you have any photos of the dash panel?
There was some discussion here a while back about the layout of the dash...

Here are a few pics of the dash as requested. I believe you have choke, ignition and unsure of the other knob.

Those are great. Thanks!

Could the middle one be a fuse holder?

Is anyone aware of a Worlds Fair museum being constructed? If so, could I get more info on it?

Thanks for the additional photos honeil!

Do you, or your father know what the rectangular object is on the right-hand side of the dash (see attachment)? From the previous dialog on this forum, that we learned that there is a 3" diameter hole behind that rectangle, but we could never figure out exactly what it was for...

Attached Image: Escorter_Dash.jpg

Even more curious is the fact that in some photos taken during the Fair, the object that was mounted there appears to be circular in shape instead of rectangular (see the image in the lower left-hand corner of my attachment)...

Cheers!
Kevin
