Imagine what a modern pavilion would be like? No restful area like this for sure. There would be advertising plastered all over the place...

Hi Bill,

I dunno how loud that Novochord was.....seat me by the Noguchi. ;) Relaxing.....depending what was being served here for drinks, this could be like Jimmy Lynch - only sitting in the middle!

Best,
Eric

Hi Bill,

Nice lights fixtures! I can just see the woman playing the Novachord. I love how clean everything is too.

Best,
Eric

There's also a man to her right, partially hidden by the umbrella. I couldn't tell if there's a third musician off to the left.

I wonder what became of the light fixtures.

Hi Bill,

Ahhhhh, I see that guy. I forget, was it always 3 people to play this thing? I think it might have been. I have very few color slides inside this courtyard - you? I think I just have the Noguchi and some cars? I also rarely see any night color of the Transport Zone. I have it, but just a bunch from one metal slide box. I just don't see that stuff with any frequency.

Best,
Eric

I think they had performances by 1 or 3 people, sort of a gimmick. If I recall correctly all my shots of this area are B&W.

I agree with Eric. Those light fixtures are really special.

Hi again,

Ahhh. I think I am being slightly reminded of the headdresses worn by the women during the finale of Railroads on Parade when looking at those light fixtures. I am wondering if the fixtures were metallic and/or contained color elements.....

Best wishes,
Eric
