I am sorry to have to post this as a commercial event, as you will have to pay to enter, but the artist/exhibitor has had to pay to rent the theater. By PTU standards - if it ain't free, it is commerce. The artists will probably recover thier costs if it is "succesful". But they stage this event once or twice a year because they care:

Presenting: "WORLDS FAIRS IN 3-D" March 6th at 8 pm
SEE THE FUTURE...AGAIN !!!

World's Fair fans will not want to miss this event, as it is as close to being there as you can ever get!!!

1939 SAN FRANCISCO WORLD'S FAIR (14 SCENES)

Tickets $15.00

If enough PTU-ers IM me here to show up I can possibly get a group rate!

I am putting together a group of us who would meet for a meal &/or drinks before the showing.

I am negotiating with the artists to present thier 3D images combined with narration by Pierre Montiel and Theramin music - (think Star Trek)- by Robert Munn for my 3rd annual Queens Worlds Fairs Show & Sale.

This says their source material is Viewmaster images (but using polarized projections instead of having to wear special glasses or looking through a viewmaster viewer). But then it also lists 'ruins'. I don't remember seeing any Viewmaster reels with post-Fair ruins, do you guys? So maybe they have some original source material too.

Hiya Randy
Robert Munn went where Johnny Piro went before Johnny went there - and took 3D shots of the ruins and the Machine rooms below...circa 1985-6?
