  1. Hi all - I bought a vintage dress a while back and it was sold as a dress used at a World's Fair in one of the theatre productions/shows. There was no additional information provide (i.e. year, photos, etc) that would help verify this claim. It is an interesting piece. It's a teal corduroy with likely a synthetic silk godet in the front. The bell shaped sleeves also are lined with the same synthetic silk. The edges of the sleeves have these pink pipe cleaners twisted into curls and hand sewn onto them which lends to the idea that this would be a costume, not every day dress. The dress isn't without issues -- some discoloration, missing faux pearls etc, but it is rather unique. Can anyone point me towards some more information on tracking down when this would be from? Thank you! Link to pictures
