Hi everyone my name is Nico I'm an avid fan of the NYWF particularly the 1964-65 one. I might be one of the youngest members on here at 18 but I love the World's Fair and everything it represented. I have a random question but I'm looking for any High Resolution Photo's from the 1964-65 New York Worlds Fair, particularly ones of the AMF Monorail, Pictures of the building that contained the GM Futurama exhibit, and lastly ANY pictures that where taken at night! I have found several amazing photo's on here however they are low resolution so I couldn't print them on something bigger than a 4in. x 4in. canvas (I need at least a 12X14!). I just want to print these out on a fairly large piece of canvas and hang them in my bedroom, so they will only be used by me, not for any other use. I also don't mind if you leave a watermark on them, I think that will leave a unique touch on the images. I can give you my e-mail address if you would rather send them directly to me, I'm just trying to avoid taking an expensive trip to the New York Public Library to sort through their vast archive! Thank you all so much for your help.
If you are interested in seeing pictures from Expo 2017, I am starting to post them on my photo blog http://adventuresinarchitecture.blogspot.com/. I have been posting one photograph a day from my travels around the world since visiting Brazil as part of a Fulbright program in 2017. If you go back into the archive you can also find photos of Expo 2010 and Expo 2015. (It's a bit cumbersome as you can't just click on the place, but have to look at the list of places, note the month and year, and then scroll down and click on the dates listed below.) I plan to post Expo 2017 photos for at least two months. After some general images, August will mostly be signage and parts of facades that include text. September will have greater variety. Usually the images I post are more artistic than documentary. I do request that if you do want to use any of the images that you let me know and give a credit line. It's a bit grainy, but here is today's photo. Enjoy!
There's an exhibition running at the moment in Milan showing photos of expos: live and aftermath. Although it's a long way to travel there are some interesting photos on this page: http://www.floornature.com/overview-architecture-news/news-expo-after-expo-milano-photo-exhibition-11095/ A bit sad to see the state of some of the Hannover site. And can anyone identify the top left image? (Which I think might also be Hannover) Best wf256
