EmmaL27 posted a topic in The Souvenir ShopI have two of these awesome pieces of history up for grabs! Set One: $100 | UNOPENED! Seal is slightly damaged but nonetheless intact. | eBay Set Two: $90 | Open but still in beautiful condition. | eBay A promotional House of Cards from Matsushita Electric, Japan’s largest producer of electronic and electrical home appliances. These sets were given out at the 1964 - 1965 New York World’s Fair in the Japanese Pavilion by the National Panasonic Exhibit as an advertising brochure packet for Matsushita Electric. Set comes in a beautiful card stock origami folder. Included in this set is an informational Facts & Figures pamphlet that unfolds accordion style, an advertisement for the Heian, and 10 glossy Eames-style slotted photo cards that assemble together to form a house of cards. To judge the sizes the notched advertising cards each measure 4-3/4'' x 3-1/2''. Printed in Japan.
I have the World's Fair board game (the Milton Bradley game where the "board" is really a game sheet), and I think a few of the cards are missing. The cards were of exhibits at the fair. Does anyone have a list of the cards that originally came with the game (and any other pieces, for that matter - although I think everything else is there)? Thanks so much!
