  1. There's a new Mustang Owner's Museum in Concord, NC that has an original Mustang that was part of the Magic Skyway ride. They even have a mirror underneath it where you can see the marks from the hardware where the car was hooked up. Apparently after the fair Ford sold these to people as new Mustangs. Here are some photos from the exhibit that also includes information from the fair, and a book by Bill Cotter and Bill Young. I'm working on a story about some of the World's Fair cars. Does anyone have information about the Magic Skyway Mustangs and what happened to them after the fair?
  2. HI Bill, I can ask at the NY Public Library. You have my e-mail if you want to send me what we're talking about.
  3. How about the New York Public Library? They have the 1964-65 World's Fair Corporation records and the Robert Moses archives.
  4. New York Subways: Why they Stopped Building them

I've been all over the world and the NYC subway does seem Third World now. It's a shame.
  5. I don't know what they are accepting. Based on the crowd flow, the main draw appears to be the panorama. The WF memorabilia is kind of tucked away in the back. It doesn't seem to be developing as a major art museum.
  6. Visited the Queens Museum recently and the planes are operating out of LGA again in the Panorama. In the WF open storage area saw a cool scale model of the fair. Here's a close-up of the Unisphere.
