1. Subscription Renewel Help

Thanks for the reminder about Bill Young's site! I'd love to support his work and the contributions of so many people on that wonderful site. Love the new AMF avatar! Denise
2. NYWF Music?

My husband ( always the disc jockey!) is putting together a NYWF music CD for me. Will be a surprise, so I have no idea what songs will be on the final compilation. Just curious, what would be on your NYWF music CD? I would want a collection of pop hits from the time period, as well as songs specific to the fair. Denise

Makes me feel like a squatter!!
4. Subscription Renewel Help

That sounds like very good news for the site. Still, I like to do my part, so it makes me feel a little ...I don't know. Not right. Denise
5. A gem from You Tube. The video is called Multiple Sidosis - a man gets just what he wants for Christmas. It's a little over 9 minutes long and becomes superbly silly at about the 4:49 second mark. Enjoy! Denise Multiple Sidosis

7. Another Chairman's Humor Video of the Day

Ray, That is a wonderful story about winning the wire recorder through General Mills! What ever happened to that particular recorder? Did you hang onto it? Denise
8. Another Chairman's Humor Video of the Day

Doug, I wish I had known Sid! What a sense of humor. Wonder if that was actually his wife in the opening Christmas gift sequence of the film. Denise

13. NYWF Music?

Mike, What is the BBQ movie? Denise
14. NYWF Music?

Wayne, Thank you! I couldn't remember. I do need to get the audio archive. As for "Small World", Vladimir, my husband is putting some of the song at the very beginning of the CD, just to set the tone. He's recording it to sound very distant, then it will fade away to the first song on the CD. He works at Westwood One Radio Network, so he has lots of wonderful audio equipment to work with for the project. Of course, we could probably get the same effect using Audacity recording program at home. Denise
15. NYWF Music?

All good song choices. Thanks. I'd love to find some of the music that was used in the shows at the 64/65 fair. I keep thinking about some absurd dance tune about orlon - I think. Wish I could remember the pavilion. God, I love the Four Seasons! Denise
16. Sunday in the Park (February 18th)

I hope you all had a wonderful day. Wish I could have made the trip from Los Angeles. Looking forward to the pictures. Denise

18. Love is in the Air

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone! Denise
19. Ozzie & Harriet

Happy Holidays, everyone. The husband and I were watching the Ozzie and Harriet 1964 Christmas show last night and were delighted to see the opening was a New York World's Fair reference. This episode was sponsored by the gas company. Ozzie and Harriet opened the show in their kitchen talking about the big role gas (please, no puns!) was playing at the world's fair. There is even a shot of Ozzie and Harriet eating at one of the restaurants at the fair and an aerial shot of the fair. The show is included on a DVD entitled Vintage Christmas Classics available at http://www.oldies.com. This particular DVD includes Ozzie and Harriet, Jack Benny, Red Skelton and The Beverly Hillbillies. Denise
20. Chairman Looks at Housewives of the 1960's.

How about smoking a cigarette in a tiny bathroom while drenching your hair in Aqua Net! Bouffant firecracker. Denise
21. Chairman Looks at Housewives of the 1960's.

Watch it! That's my mother! Kidding.....
22. Randy, Wonderful photos of you, your family and their CARS! Is Uncle Gene still such a dapper dresser? I've always had a soft spot for Bel Airs (especially the '56 blue and white hard top), since it was my parents first car. It's your birthday month! Denise
23. Chairman Looks at Housewives of the 1960's.

You're right, guys. On closer inspection it does look like an Easter Lily!
24. Chairman Looks at Housewives of the 1960's.

Wow! Check out the sad, Charlie Brown Christmas tree on the sideboard behind her. Faced with that for Christmas comfort, I'd be downing a few, as well!
25. A look at the end of the Fair

Makes my stomach turn to imagine some worker coming along, yanking the Formica House sign out of the ground and hurling into the back of a garbage truck. But, more than likely...... Denise
