What do you do when your fair site is long and the weather is likely to be hot?

Why, you build a massive system of moving sidewalks so people can ride across the grounds in air conditioned splendor and comfort, right?

And then when it has problems you put barriers across it and send everyone down to the streets.

Kinda reminds me of those people tubes from Futurama (The show, not the exhibit!)

I wish there was going to be something like that at World Expo 2010 in Shanghai. There will be aerial walkways, but no air-conditioned moving walks.

Which pavilion had moving sidewalks integrated into it?

Thanks for the help,
Becky

The enclosed air-conditioned moving sidewalks pictured in this thread were a means of transport around the Expo 70 grounds and did not enter any of the pavilions. Several pavilions had internal moving sidewalk systems (the one I recall most was the Mitsubishi Pavilion) but these were not enclosed or air-conditioned and did not link to the moving sidewalk pictured above. Like the current Expo 2010, there were enormous lines to enter the most popular pavilions. Both the US and Soviet exhibits averaged 5 hour lines during peak periods.
