Hemisfair was my first world's fair. These videos bring back a flood of memories. Thanks for the link.

Never knew about the Monorail crash at Hemisfair. Killed one person and injured 47. This man has posted some sobering photos from the crash site on Flickr:

Wow, those are some shots. I wonder how anyone could possibly crash like that unless they just weren't looking in front of them.

I remember the accident getting coverage in either "Life" or "Look" magazine. Unfortunately, this was about the only coverage Hemisfair got in the national media.

That small San Antonio monorail looks like it could have been top heavy when loaded with people.
