1998, Lisbon, Portugal - Expo '98

The 1998 Lisbon World Exposition was held in Lisbon, Portugal from May 22 to September 30, 1998. The theme of the fair was "The Oceans, a Heritage for the Future," chosen to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Vasco de Gama's discovery of a sea route to India. 11 million people visited and 155 countries and organizations participated.
